Akana Engineering was found in 1990 in the capital city of Turkey, Ankara. In its initial years Akana has mainly focused on Home appliances and Automotive industry providing engineering and design solutions. Over the years Akana has strenghtened its design abilities and invested in its manufacturing capabilities gratly increasing its knowledge and machine infastructure. This day, Akana provides design, manufacturing, assembly, test, installing and logistics to its defence customers as a whole package. It is one of the fastest growing companies who provide Assembly ans Sub-Assembly systems for its defence partners.
As of 2020, Akana is continuing its Engineering operations in its new facilities in Başkent OSB which include R&D center, Assembly hall and, special assembly & test facility, Manufacturing facility and administration offices which is spread across more than 20,000m^2.
Akana now has grown to become a big family with over 100 employees and a ratio of %50 white collar to blue collar workers. While completing many projects over the years, Akana has gathered the trust of national-international companies and formed Subcontractor, strategic partnership bonds with them. Akana has also gathered quality system approvals from internationally accredited institutions.
Akana is a direct subcontractor for main contractors of Turkish Armed Forces and is providing sub-systems for the defence insudtries of several NATO countries.
Akana has kept its initial mission and priority of delivering good engineering practises since it was found in 1990. Akana’s vision fort he future is to form long lasting sustainable partnerships within the defence and aerospace industries.
